Christmas Tree

Every year on Thanksgiving weekend, we go up to Idaho to cut our Christmas Tree. My grandma lives up there and it is fun to go and get our tree. After a long search this year we finally found one.

This is our tree right after we cut it down. Thanks to my awesome sister, who is the only one who had a camera on this adventure.

This is the tree all decorated. They always look better in the forest before you cut them down, but it's still fun.

Thankful

I am so thankful for so many things. I realize that I am a little late in getting this post up but the time has just gone by so fast and the holiday came and went and now it's already December 2nd and I know that it will continue to fly by, but I wanted to take a second and share the things that I am thankful for. First my wonderful husband, who works so hard, and loves me so much. I am also grateful to the rest of my family and for all of their support. I am thankful for all of the opportunities that I have. And that we live in such a great country. There are so many things that I am thankful for, but I could write forever and not be able to include them all.

I finally know

I am so happy to FINALLY know where I will be doing my student teaching. I have been super stressed in the last few weeks because the student teaching portion of my schooling is fast approaching. We are supposed to be starting in January, right when everyone goes back to school from the holiday break. Up until yesterday I had no idea where I would be going. Now I am a planner. I don't do things spontaneously. I have to know, I have to have a concrete plan. But I am happy to share after weeks of asking and getting no response that I will be student teaching at Westlake High School. It is the new high school out in Saratoga Springs. I am really excited, and nervous at the same time. I can't believe that I am so close to being done with school, AGAIN! But hopefully for a good long time, this time.

Annoyed

Lately I have been annoyed at a lot of different things, but the thing that has mostly been annoying me it this. Last year about this time, I found what thought was a great deal on a set of pots and pans, that I begged and begged Chris to buy for me. He said "no, you don't ever cook. Why do you need new pots and pans?" I said "I have had my current pots and pans for six years and I need new ones, I promise that if you buy these for me I will start cooking more." Well we went to the sale and purchased the said pots and pans. Well, I didn't hold up to my end of the deal and start cooking more and THIS is where my annoyance comes in. These pots and pans have begun to rust, yes rust. I less than one year these pots and pans that have rarely been used have begun to rust. Now I need to buy new pots and pans AGAIN. I think that this time I will spend more than $20.00, and I will NOT be buying them from KMART.

Nerds of the world....

So I am a nerd. I know, I know you are thinking to yourself, it's just not possible, but really I am a nerd. Today I got my very own copy of this....

I have been waiting and waiting for this movie to come out on DVD, ever since I saw it in the theater, on the opening weekend. I think that this movie is TOTALLY AWESOME! If you have not seen it you need to. If you would like to watch this movie with me you can come over to my house and I will watch it with you. I will admit that I grew up watching the old Star Trek TV show, and I liked it, but even if you are not a trekie this movie still ROCKS!

San Francisco

Chris and I were able to go to
San Francisco last weekend. It was so much fun to get away, and not have to worry about regular life.

The main reason that we went is because I have really been wanting to see the play "Wicked". I tired to get tickets when it came to Salt Lake City, but I was not able to. It was amazing and I am so happy that we got the opportunity to go.Going to the play was one of the highlights of the trip.

We also went to Alcatraz. That was the second coolest part of the trip.

We went to the aquarium and the wax museum. Those were both sorta lame, but what do you do. It gave us something to do.

My major complaint about the city of San Francisco is its serious lack of public restrooms, and because of this the city smells like pee, its gross. Thank heavens that I am a member of 24 Hour Fitness. In my bathroom emergency, I actually checked into the gym so I could just use the bathroom, the lady looked at me so weird when I came back out a few minuets later, but I don't care, I had to go. One big bummer about our trip as well, we were really looking forward to going to the King Tut exhibit that happened to be there. We took like an hour long bus ride to get there, and I was so excited, we get there and it is closed on Mondays for school groups only. So lame!!

It was fun to get away, but always good to come back home again.

I'll Start on Monday.....

I don't know what it is but every time I want to start something new, such as a new project, or better study habits, or a workout schedule I always say to myself I will start on Monday. I don't know what it is about starting a new week that just gets me excited and makes me feel like I can do anything, plus it's way to hard to start something new in the middle of the week. I really always intend to but then Monday rolls around and I get caught in the same old routines. I am hoping that this will help keep me accountable. Does anyone else feel the same? or am I alone in feeling like I have to start something new at the beginning of a new week?

Time Flies

As I am sitting here on Sunday night I am wondering where the weekend went. I had plans for this weekend. I had plans to clean my house, and take the HUGE pile of stuff in the extra bedroom to the DI, to clean the caramel out the microwave that has been there since last week (don't ask). I will be honest I got NONE of these things done. I wish I could say that I didn't get any of them done because I was doing something so outrageously awesome that there just was not time for this, but this is not the case. I am not even sure of what I did with myself this weekend, nothing. I hate that I didn't do all the things that I wanted to do or even any of the things that I wanted to do. Well here's hoping for next weekend.

Here I am....

So here I am as a part of the blogging world. I really just want a place to share random thoughts that I have. I have been pondering starting a blog for awhile at this point and I am just finally getting around to it, so here it is. I hope that you enjoy....
